How Could I Get There?
My kindergarten days were a whole lot of fun. I used to join a declamation contest and this is my unforgettable winning piece. ( My mother wrote this for me.)
How Could I Get There
I am smart child, bright, young ,and innocent
Very active and playful
Full of promises and dreams.
I dream to be a doctor
To cure the sick and poor
I'll give them the best that I can,
To be of great service to men.
But how could I get there?
When my parents don't care,
For my shelter and clothes,
For my education and food.
But how could I get there?
When violence is everywhere
Armed conflicts, rapes, killings,
Are here and there.
My ultimate dream,
My shattered dream
You're unconcerned,
Made us hapless victims.
Without responsible
Parents and government,
Parents and government,
You will not exist
With happiness and contentment.
